2022 to Present Day - Graphic Designer - NHS NELFT Trust. 

I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of the in-house design, ensuring materials that support the trust are of high quality and deliver the corporate agenda. This at times included numerous events and one off projects.

Below are some of my day to day responsibilities: 

  • Work with NELFT colleagues to produce a wide range of materials (e.g. designing and creating infographics, icons and graphic content for presentations, publications and reports).

  • Creating visual assets for social media marketing campaigns, such as Instagram posts, Facebook ads, and Twitter banners, ensuring they adhere to brand guidelines and are optimised for each platform.

  • Ensuring the trust’s visual identity and brand guidelines are adhered to ensuring staff apply the NELFTs branding correctly.

  • Advise and support the NELFT team in designing material for corporate and external events (e.g. posters, banners, delegate packs and other materials).

  • Design of the Trusts annual report, quality accounts and trust strategy

  • Responsible for the upkeep of the document library database.

  • Developed and maintained a work request process, providing end to end audit of design requests and responses.

  • Engaging with clients to understand their requirements ensuring that they are not just met but exceeded.

  • Created design templates enabling trust colleagues to self serve simple design requests using Canva.

  • Training and supporting other members of the team in the use of design software, as required.

  • Making sure all docments meet accessibility guidelines.

  • Contact with external services including, printers, photographers and merchandisers.

2017 to Present Day - Freelance Designer

Working remotely I provide design services to a number of companies some examples listed below.

  • NHS South Essex Foundation Trust  - Leaflets, posters, staff cards and end of the year report. 

  • Ironmongery Direct - Catalogue Design.

  • Rethink charity - Various print materials.

  • Yale University - Corporate event catalogue.

  • Perfect Personalised Gift/Photography - Personalised gifts design.

  • Hattens Farm Nurseries - Various print materials.

  • ConSol Recruitment - Corporate identity.

  • Design4print & signage - Development corporate identity, leaflets and advertising posters.

 

2014 To 2017 - Graphic Designer - Global Experience Specialists (GES) – London Excel

GES are global event organisers and exhibitors for multinational bluechip clients ranging from financial services through to local government. I provided design services for events hosted at London Excel and other European sites.

 

Key requirements of my role were:

  • End to end design service taking the clients brief, creating visual concepts, of draft artwork through to finel print.

  • Managing multiple large scale projects all with different requirements from small posters to complete exhibitions (banners, billboards, signs, stands, vinyl) 

  • Supporting events across europe, staying on site to enable quick turn around for high priority sequests.

 

2011 To 2014 - Designer - NHS SEPT Trust.

I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the in-house design, ensuring materials that support the trust are of high quality and deliver the corporate agenda. This at times included numerous events and one off projects.

 

Below were some of my day to day responsibilities:

  • Design of the corporate identity for SEPT clients, incorporating logos, layouts, leaflets, posters etc.

  • Responsible for the design of the quarterly external client magazine ‘SEPT News’ from beginning to end.

  • Responsible for the design of the monthly internal newspaper ‘Tuned In’ from beginning to end.

  • Design of commerical corporate events merchandise, posters, folders, handouts, name badges, certification and exhibits.

  • Design of the Trusts annual report that is presented to parliament.

  • Design of the external client facing powerpoint template used throughout the trust.

  • Responsible for the upkeep of the document library database.

  • Engaging with clients to understand their requirements ensuring that they are not just met but exceeded.

  • Responsible for updating the website using the content management system including social media.

  • Supporting other members of the Communications team in the use of design software when required.

 

2010 To 2011- In-house Designer - Tanridge Leisure.

I was responsible for designing branding, brochures, flyers, adverts, business cards, and internal documents. I also ensured the website remained up to date. Additionally, I created engaging visuals for email campaigns, including newsletters, headers, and other marketing materials to support promotional efforts. I liaised with printers to guarantee the final product met quality standards and deadlines.
